David Seaman

One of the country’s most decorated footballers, David Seaman remains a very popular and respected figure in the world game. In 1997, he was awarded and MBE for his services to the sport. A relaxed individual, he is always great company and is frequently called upon to share his experiences as an elite sporting talent with the corporate market, in addition to partnering with fitting brands. When the Rotherham born goalkeeper retired from the game in 2004, (due to a recurring shoulder injury), he had won 75 England caps, making him the second most capped keeper after the legendary Pete Shilton. David made 954 club appearances in all, 563 of them being with Arsenal. David helped Arsenal win three league titles, three FA cups, one League Cup and the European Cup Winners’ Cup. He was England’s number one keeper at the 1998 and 2002 World Cup finals, and was in the squad at the 1990 World Cup finals. He began his playing career when he joined Peterborough in 1992. He also played for Birmingham City and Queens Park Rangers before Manager George Graham took him to Arsenal. He then went on to make 26 league and cup appearances for Manchester City before hanging up his boots and gloves. In 2006 David appeared on the popular ITV show, Dancing on Ice where he came fourth. The skating bug has not left him, and he still regularly takes to the ice to hone his skills. When not on the ice or assisting with coaching at Arsenal he enjoys shooting and other country pursuits.
